discussed. The discussions are usually led by an industry expert. In addition to being targeted information forums, the breakfast meetings are also excellent networking forums.

KAWBO partnered with the Sino Africa Centre of Excellence Foundation (SACE) for a breakfast event where Chinese and Kenyan entrepreneurs had a chance to interact and create connections between Kenyan and Chinese entrepreneurs.
The SACE Foundation promotes cooperation between China and Africa by fostering the equitable exchange of business opportunities in the areas of enterprise creation and bilateral trade.

On February 4th 2015 KAWBO hosted a power breakfast where the key speaker was prolific writer, business strategy adviser and inspirational speaker Dr. Wale Akinyemi. The event which was themed “setting motivating goal” played a key role in helping KAWBO members strategize for the year 2015.

On November 12th, KAWBO partnered with China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in the inaugural intake of the Women Entrepreneurship & Leadership for Africa (WELA). The WELA programme is an executive management programme developed by CEIBS and is currently run in Nigeria and Ghana. The WELA six month long programme was launched in Kenya in May 2014 and classes are expected to commence on 27th-29th March 2015 at the Tribe Hotel.

On January, 31st,File-It-Africa presented to participants the benefits of cloud computing. Further, attendees were given the opportunity to subscribe to the services at an attractive discounted rate.
Business owners that were present did not hesitate to convey the relevancy of the topic to their businesses. Many expressed that they were graced with a pleasant morning due to the relevancy of the topic, the serene ambiance infusing the venue, and the quality business contacts that were created.

On the 28th of September, KAWBO partnered with Grofin to host a Networking Power Breakfast, welcoming all from diverse business sectors. Grofin is one of the leading pan-African financers and supporters of Small and Medium Enterprises. The engaging breakfast meeting explored fundamental issues of accessing appropriate financing tailored for various businesses.

This breakfast addressed how successful business mentorships can create networks and connections, build self-esteem, determination, capacities and self confidence. Mentoring programs are a key component for KAWBO and we believe in informing individuals on the opportunities available to access mentors and build their capacity to become a Business mentor.
