WHAT WE DO
KAWBO’s Mentorship Program provides an excellent avenue for “passing on the baton” from our very accomplished and seasoned members to budding women entrepreneurs. The program offers a perfect opportunity to meet and learn from some of the most successful, experienced, and dynamic businesswomen in Kenya.
We hold monthly events that provide our membership with opportunities to broaden their network, share experiences and compare notes with peers. Our topics are relevant and informative as we address the varied interests and challenges of women business owners in Kenya.
Our members benefit from various business development programmes and workshops provided by KAWBO and its partner organizations. We offer programmes that challenge our members’ current business practices and provide them with skills to remodel and position themselves as leaders in their respective fields. Some of our signature training programmes include:
We also offer bimonthly trainings which are modeled on the IFC Business Edge Training Programme.
Our acclaimed monthly e-newsletter called Excel has been a source of up to date information of various issues among them industry specific happenings, new business opportunities, upcoming events, best practices, and so forth. The newsletter is also used to showcase and recognize the achievements of women entrepreneurs.
KAWBO has been in the front line in advocating for an improved business environment and actively engages with policy. KAWBO is a member of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA).
Our members have the opportunity to participate in any of our active and dedicated committees thus a chance to determine the course of the association. Committee involvement is an excellent way to strengthen your leadership potential, develop your business, and broaden your professional work.
